OWNED MEDIA / LIFECYCLE MARKETING

Every stage of the customer relationship, engineered to move forward.

The Outcome

Most marketing programmes are front-loaded: they invest in acquisition and then assume the sale will close itself. It does not. A prospect who downloads a guide, attends a webinar, or visits a pricing page is at the start of a decision process that takes time and needs guidance. A new customer who buys once needs to be shown why buying again is obvious. A customer who has gone quiet needs to be re-engaged before they leave entirely. Lifecycle marketing is the system that manages every stage of the relationship from first touch to loyal advocate — with the right message, at the right time, triggered by what the person actually does rather than what the marketing calendar says.

What We Do

We build lifecycle marketing programmes end-to-end: the customer journey map that defines what each stage looks like, the segmentation logic that puts the right person in the right track, the automation workflows that execute without manual effort, and the content and copy that makes each communication worth engaging with. We work in your CRM and marketing automation platform — HubSpot, Salesforce + Pardot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign — and we build programmes that your sales and customer success teams can actually see and use, not black boxes that only the marketing team understands. For B2B, this means lead scoring, sales handoff automation, and nurture sequences aligned to the actual buying process. For B2C, it means purchase journey automation, loyalty and retention programmes, and win-back campaigns.

AI Layer

AI enables the personalisation and segmentation at scale that makes lifecycle marketing effective at volume. We use it to build dynamic segmentation that updates based on behaviour in real time, to generate personalised content recommendations for each contact based on their engagement history, and to predict churn risk or purchase propensity so we can trigger the right intervention at the right time. We also use AI to test multiple sequence variants simultaneously and identify which message cadence and content combination moves each segment fastest. Our team designs the journey architecture and the decision logic; AI executes the personalisation and surfaces the patterns. The operator builds the engine. AI keeps it calibrated.

Method

  1. 01

Map the full customer journey: from first awareness touchpoint through purchase, onboarding, retention, and advocacy — with the key decision points and drop-off risks at each stage.

  2. 02

Define lifecycle stages and the triggers that move a contact from one stage to the next — based on behaviour, not time-based assumptions.

  3. 03

Build the segmentation model: who is in each stage, what signals define them, and what communication each segment should receive.

  4. 04

Design and build the automation architecture in your CRM and marketing platform — lead scoring, workflow triggers, handoff logic, and re-engagement rules.

  5. 05

Write the content and copy for every touchpoint in every track — the automation is only as good as the message it delivers.

  6. 06

Instrument, measure, and optimise: track conversion rates at every stage transition, identify where contacts stall, and test interventions that move them forward.

Proof First

We will map your current customer journey — where contacts enter, which stages they pass through, and where the stalls and drop-offs happen — before we propose what to build. The journey map is yours regardless of what we do next.

FAQ

What is the difference between lifecycle marketing and email marketing?

Email marketing is a channel. Lifecycle marketing is the strategy that coordinates communication across channels — email, SMS, in-app, sales outreach, retargeting ads — at each stage of the customer journey. Email is often the primary channel within a lifecycle programme, but lifecycle marketing also determines when a sales rep should call, when a retargeting ad should run, and when customer success should check in.

Which CRM or automation platform do you build in?

We work in HubSpot (most common for mid-market B2B), Salesforce with Pardot or Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo (e-commerce and D2C), and ActiveCampaign. If you already have a platform, we build in it. If you do not have one or are evaluating, we will make an honest recommendation based on your team's size, technical capacity, and requirements.

How long does it take to build a lifecycle programme?

A foundational lifecycle programme — customer journey map, core lead nurture track, welcome and onboarding sequences, and basic churn prevention — typically takes eight to twelve weeks to design, build, and launch. More complex programmes with multiple product lines, complex segmentation, or deep CRM integration take longer. We phase the delivery so you see the first automations running before the full programme is complete.

Can you integrate lifecycle marketing with our sales process?

Yes, and this is often the highest-value integration we build. A lifecycle programme that notifies sales reps when a prospect reaches a defined engagement threshold, routes qualified leads with full context, and continues nurturing contacts during a long B2B sales cycle dramatically improves conversion at the bottom of the funnel. We build the handoff logic between marketing automation and CRM as a core part of the programme.
