Who we are
This policy explains how [legal entity name, e.g. InTrendz Media, a proprietorship / LLP / private limited company registered in India] ("InTrendz Media", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information through intrendzmedia.com (the "site"). We serve visitors and clients in the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and India. Section 6 explains the rights you have in each of those places.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, newsletter or benchmark signup, we collect what you enter: your name, work email, company website, main market, the service you're interested in, an optional budget range, and your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site and approximate location (city or country level). We collect this through Google Analytics and through the advertising cookies described in section 4.
Information you type into our tools. The calculations in our Growth Lab tools run on your device. We do not collect the exact numbers you enter. We may record rough ranges (for example, "a budget between $5,000 and $15,000") together with the tool used, so that we can publish anonymous benchmarks. These ranges are not linked to your name or email.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as health, financial account or government ID data. Please don't include it in messages to us.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, prepare a proposal;
- send the newsletter or benchmark report you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- understand which pages and tools are useful, and improve the site;
- show advertising that helps keep our tools free (section 4);
- keep the site secure and comply with the law.
We do not sell your contact details. Form submissions are stored in a spreadsheet we control, hosted by [spreadsheet provider, e.g. Microsoft 365 (Excel Online) or Google Sheets], and are seen only by the InTrendz Media team.
Legal bases. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), on steps you ask us to take before a contract (replying to an enquiry), and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and tool use. Google processes this data on our behalf. We have set analytics data to be kept for [2 or 14 months, matching the GA4 retention setting].
Advertising. Some pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised ads at Google Ad Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choices. Where required (for example for visitors from Quebec, the UK and the European Economic Area), we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies, using a consent message on the site. US visitors can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising through the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link in the footer or the consent message, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Vercel (website hosting);
- Google (Analytics and AdSense);
- [spreadsheet provider, e.g. Microsoft 365 (Excel Online) or Google Sheets] (storing form submissions);
- our email provider (replying to enquiries and sending newsletters).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Your rights by market
To use any of these rights, email intrendzmedia@gmail.com. We will reply within the time the applicable law requires, and we may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
United States. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. You may appeal our decision on a request by replying to our response.
Canada. Under PIPEDA and provincial laws, including Quebec's Law 25, you may access and correct your personal information and withdraw consent. The person in charge of the protection of personal information at InTrendz Media is [name and title, e.g. Kartikeya Awasthi, Co-founder], reachable at intrendzmedia@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
United Arab Emirates. Under the Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you may request access to, correction of and deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent.
India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request a summary of the personal data we process, its correction, completion or erasure, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. You can raise a grievance with us at intrendzmedia@gmail.com, and if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiries for up to [24 months] after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case records are kept for as long as our contract and legal obligations (such as tax records) require. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the period set in section 4. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
International transfers
We are based in India, and our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States. When personal information leaves your country, we rely on our providers' contractual and security safeguards, and on the transfer mechanisms the applicable law allows.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to form submissions, and providers with recognised security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The site is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date, and where the change is significant, we will highlight it on the site.
